Brendan Rodgers names Celtic starting XI to face Hearts

Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers has named his starting XI for the Scottish Premiership clash against Hearts at Tynecastle on Saturday.

The Hoops are looking to maintain their unbeaten start to the season and will be confident of victory against a Hearts side who have lost their last two matches.

Rodgers has made two changes to the team that beat St Mirren 2-0 in their last outing, with Scott Brown and James Forrest coming into the side in place of Olivier Ntcham and Mikey Johnston.

The Celtic team to face Hearts is as follows:

  • GK: Fraser Forster
  • RB: Mikael Lustig
  • CB: Dedryck Boyata
  • CB: Filip Benkovic
  • LB: Kieran Tierney
  • CM: Scott Brown
  • CM: Callum McGregor
  • RW: James Forrest
  • CAM: Ryan Christie
  • LW: Scott Sinclair
  • ST: Odsonne Edouard

Celtic will be looking to make a statement of intent against Hearts, who have been one of their main challengers for the title in recent years.

The Hoops have won their last four matches against Hearts and will be confident of extending that run on Saturday.

Hearts, meanwhile, will be looking to bounce back from their recent defeats and will be hoping to cause an upset against Celtic.

The Tynecastle side have a good record against Celtic at home, having won their last two matches at their own ground.

However, Celtic will be the favourites to win the match and will be looking to maintain their unbeaten start to the season.
